Comprehensive PSC Training Program

PSC based training provides a contemporary, cutting-edge approach to the method developed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920s, one that preserves the essence of the original technique but incorporates today’s knowledge and principals.

PSC Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training at Pilates Village has been a staple of the Louisville Pilates community for over a decade. Our teachers are successful and working in the community - you can find PSC teachers in the best Pilates studios in town.

We approach the material methodically and thoroughly, weaving Functional Anatomy throughout the instruction of Classical Repertoire with Progressive variations. There are 6 different modules available: Pilates Fundamentals and Philosophy, Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair and Barrels. All six must be taken to become a certified Pilates teacher through the National Pilates Certification Program. Comprehensive training offers the most versatility for employment - you could work in nearly any studio.

Training Materials

Participants will learn the Classical and Progressive approach to Pilates using a beautiful, organized photographic manual. Also included in the cost of tuition is access to PSC’s Comprehensive streaming library of professionally produced video log of all exercises taught in the program. Each individual exercise is broken down and taught with step-by-step instruction by one of the founders of the program and demonstrated by practitioners in top physical shape. This is invaluable when studying the Pilates Method to discern what the original intent of the exercise was and how it can be modified for safety or varied for more intensity. This is available to the apprentice teacher throughout their training.
